Tuncurry Bowling Club was founded on 28 September 1955. On this day, a group of men had the vision of building their own bowling club for their local community. Together with the local people who donated they built the club house and first green.

The primary purpose was to promote the game of lawn bowls, which has been achieved through the endless competitions and pennants played since its grand opening. Available to use for everyone, from the highly experienced through to those who opt for a social game.
